Family Fun: Sunrise Beach Stroll

$10 per child, $20 per adult
Join Hobcaw Barony staff on a sunrise beach stroll! Participants will gather at the Hobcaw Barony Discovery Center and board the bus for a 30-minute ride to Hobcaw Barony’s undeveloped beach, Debidue Island. The group will learn about the features of the beach – from wrack lines to microscopic sand particles. Bags will be provided for collecting seashells during free-exploration time; bring a lawn chair or blanket if you’d rather sit and enjoy the scenery. Recommended for ages 6 and up; children under 7 must be accompanied by an adult. Participants should dress for the weather (and the possibility of biting insects); close-toed shoes are recommended for the walk to the beach. Participants may want to bring: hat, sunscreen, bug spray, and water. Note that restroom facilities will not be available after leaving the Discovery Center. (Exertion level: Medium impact- walking on sand, standing in direct sunlight) Reservations required.
